Future practices

Each class is designed to help you become a well-rounded and confident skater. We build on the skills introduced in the first class, focusing on agility, strength, and endurance – essential for excelling in roller derby.

Note: Safety is our top priority, so your instructors will ensure you feel confident and secure on your skates before jumping into more advanced skills.

But it’s not all sweat and hard work—Mid-State Roller Derby’s classes are also a lot of fun. As you build your skills and confidence, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in no-contact drills and other scenarios under experienced skaters’ guidance.

After the classes conclude

Once our new skater classes are done, you can join us for another Roller Derby 101 set of classes (if there’s one scheduled), join our league as a skater, official, or dedicated volunteer, or do neither. There is no requirement beyond the class, though we’d love to have you keep coming back and become a part of our league!!

Join us at Mid-State Roller Derby’s classes and experience the thrill of roller derby while being part of a supportive and empowering community. We can’t wait to welcome you and help you unleash your roller derby potential!
